Designer Kate Hooven adds jewelry to the 1920s ensemble she created for the "Goodwill Goes Glam" segment of the University of Hawaii at Manoa's annual senior fashion show taking place Sunday on campus. Kasie Kunishima models, and the funny thing is I also have that same purple necklace that I bought from Catherine's Closet. This particular necklace is from the UH Costume Collection. Details for the UH and HCC shows are in the paper today, and this is one of the photos by Dennis Oda that didn't make it into our cramped dead-tree pages.

It's rare, if ever, that the University of Hawaii at Manoa and Honolulu Community College annual student fashion shows take place on the same weekend, so as far as print logistics, that meant a tight squeeze for photos.

These are some that didn't fit in the paper today, but just wanted to give these students their due as well.

hcc1Steven Stinson wears a shirt and short ensemble created by Ryan Ota as part of his senior collection, "Thought Bubbles," that will be shown during the Honolulu Community College student fashion show, "Le Reve," on Saturday night. More details about the student collections are in the paper today. This is one of the photos by Craig T. Kojima that didn't fit into our cramped pages.

swimSwimsuits by Meredith Cliff, left, and Jessica O'Neill, will be among the garments shown during the Honolulu Community College student fashion show Saturday night.
