First look at Urban Outfitters
Urban Outfitters will open its first Hawaii store at 8 a.m. Saturday, featuring UO's curated mix of mens, womens, accessories, grooming and beauty products, tech and gift items, along with an exclusive collection from Australia’s Zanerobe and adventure gear from UO’s activewear brand, Without Walls.
Unique to UO Hawaii is a Sun Shop with items for the beach and beyond, including mix-and-match two-piece bathing suits, cozy lounge pants, rompers, open knits and breezy kimono tops. Accessorize with strappy sandals, the perfect sunglasses, and surf- and sand-inspired baubles.
Bringing the local into the mix, UO has also partnered with local brands to offer collab products from such designers and brands as Samudra, Cassandra Rull, Quality Peoples, and Brooklyn Hawaii.
I got a chance to explore the new store Friday and took note for the holidays. They have some pretty dresses in the trend shop front and center, cozy sweaters for those magical days when the mercury hits 65 degrees, lots of tees for men, books, tech accessories and some unusual gift items, including an oyster mushroom-growing kit for the foodie or green thumb on your list, as well as candle-making kit for the crafty.
Look for the two-story store at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort & Spa's Pualeilani Atrium & Shops, fronting 2424 Kalakaua Ave. Follow the Hawaii store on Instagram for updates.
